ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND FINANCE/ASSESSOR CLERK – PART TIME - BOONTON TOWNSHIP

The Township of Boonton is seeking a responsible, professional individual to support the purchasing and accounts payable functions in Finance.  Position includes but is not limited to accounts payable and examining vouchers, requisitions, invoices and bills for completeness, generating Purchase Orders, preparing bills list, processing payments to vendors, recording of financial data, credit card processing and bank reconciliations.   The position also includes support to the Township Tax Assessor which includes monitoring phone calls, emails, updating assessor records, etc.  The individual will also be able to support the tax collector’s office and the dog license issue agent with posting of receipts and deposits as necessary and other additional duties to provide general office and clerical support.  Position requires strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and organizational skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Edmunds GovTech, and experience in municipal government preferred.  Four (4) hours daily.  The salary range for this position is $25,000 - $30,000.  The Township offers comprehensive benefits and pension packages.  Email resume, cover letter and list of references to Norman Eckstein, CFO at neckstein@boontontownship.com by September 10, 2025, The Township reserves the right to interview candidates prior to the close of the application period.
