BTPD Welcomes Former Chief of Police Anthony R. Mini to Tour New Police Headquarters and Municipal Building
Earlier this week, the Boonton Township Police Department had the honor of welcoming Retired Chief Tony Mini for a tour of the department’s newly renovated Police Headquarters.
Chief Mini served with the Boonton Township Police Department from 1968 through 1996, dedicating nearly three decades to serving the Boonton Township community. As he prepares to celebrate his 90th birthday
this fall, Chief Mini holds the distinction of being the oldest living retired BTPD officer.
During his visit, Chief Mini had the opportunity to tour the newly renovated headquarters and see the department’s facilities, operations, and latest technology firsthand. The visit was also a special
opportunity for current members of BTPD to connect with a respected member of the department’s history and honor his many years of dedicated service.
The first photo shows Chief Mini shortly before his retirement in 1996. The second photo, taken during his visit earlier this week, shows Chief Mini alongside Current Chief of Police Thomas Cacciabeve.
BTPD is grateful to Chief Mini for his decades of service to the department and the Boonton Township community, and for taking the time to return and see the department’s newly renovated home.
Happy 90th birthday, Chief Mini!
