 Stop by Municipal Building to choose a tag to help make the season “bright” for a local child.  Drop off the  gift by December 12th   

CHRISTMAS IN BOONTON TOWNSHIP LIGHT DISPLAY

located  at the corner of Crestfield Rd & Boonton Ave, the over 50,000 lights show runs Monday - Thursday from 6:00 - 10:30 pm, and Friday & Saturday from 5:30 -11:00 pm.    On December 14th we will play host to the Boonton Township P.B.A. They will be handing out Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Donuts, and Candy Canes.  All that we ask spectators to do is bring a toy to be donated to Toys For Tots. As you go out and begin your Holiday Shopping the Green Team wants to remind you of the following:

Reusable Bags: Not Just for Groceries Anymore

Using reusable bags cuts down on waste. Only about 1 – 3% of plastic bags are recycled.

Time to think outside the box with reusable bags, especially while doing holiday shopping. Be creative and use them:

• At the mall, and maybe use a stylish reusable bag
• At the drug store or hardware store
• At the pet store

Wherever you shop, be a trendsetter and bring a reusable bag.

A tip to remember them:  keep them in your car where you can see them, not in the trunk or the house.

The Rockaway Valley Garden Club generally meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 10:00 am and are held at the Boonton Township Municipal Building, 155 Powerville Rd. Guests are always welcome and we encourage you to join us to see what we are about.
