You can either watch as your docs are shredded for security reasons, or leave them to be done.   No limit!

RSVP through the BTEFNJ.org website to reserve your lane today!  

$100 per lane for 5 bowlers includes: shoe rental, a pizza pie, and pitcher of soda.  $20 a person if registering on your own!  

HURRY! Space is limited!  Registration deadline to guarantee a lane is by Feb. 29th.

Please note this is NOT a drop off event. Parents must remain on the premises and/or bowl with their children.

   Summer Recreation Camps 2020

Summer Recreation Camp

Once again the summer recreation camp is being offered for children entering kindergarten thru 5th grade.  It will run from June 29th –August 7th. Each week is centered around a theme. 

Special events include Fire Truck Wet Downs, Inflatables, Computers, Tennis, Bike Rodeos and Field Trips.

You will have the opportunity to participate on a weekly basis for $100 per week. 

Camp runs Monday - Friday, from 9 am-12 pm at Rockaway Valley School. 

New campers are welcome at any time.

Preschool Summer Camp

The Preschool Camp is offered to 3 and 4 year olds. It will be held at RVS the same weeks and hours as our recreation camp. 

Spots are limited!  If interested please register soon.  $100 per week.

All Sports Camp

Offered to Students entering 4th-8th 9:00 am-12:00 pm at RVS. Cost is $100 per week. Choice from 6 weeks- June 29th – August 7th.

Different sports will be played each day with an hour of agility training by a certified instructor.

Summer Theater Camp

This creative theater camp gives children in grade 1st-5th the opportunity to sing, dance, act, create scenery and design costume accessories for original plays. 

A new performance will be performed each week on Fridays. Three weeks will be offered: Weeks of July 6th- 10th,  July 20th-24th, and July 27th-31st. Cost is $115 for each week. 

This camp will be held at Rockaway Valley School from 9 am-12 pm.

Specialty Camps

Each week is $100. Camps held at RVS from 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Lego Camp - June 29th  July 2nd

Creative Crafts - July 6th - 10th

Engineer and Design - July 27th - 31st

Rockaway Valley Garden Club

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 am, the Rockaway Valley Garden Club will host a free program entitled “Indoor Gardens in Winter and Spring.”  

An indoor plant expert, orchid society member, and proprietor of Leslie Dempsey Home Plant Care, Ms. Dempsey will give a delightful presentation on the care of houseplants. 

With over twenty years experience raising healthy indoor plants, Leslie can diagnose many types of problems. Enhanced with her Irish humor, Leslie will also highlight common mistakes made by plant owners. 

Feel free to bring along your troubled houseplant for a diagnosis and treatment plan.

The Rockaway Valley Garden Club generally meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 10:00 AM and are held at the Boonton Township Municipal Building, 155 Powerville Rd.

Guests are always welcome and we encourage you to join us to see what we are about.

The Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM in the Municipal Building. 

The next meeting is March 10, 2020 meeting is The Guardians by John Grisham.

2019 INCOME TAX PREPARATION

AARP TAX-AIDE PROGRAM

The AARP Tax-Aide program offers free income tax preparation in conjunction with the IRS and the AARP Foundation. The program is open to everyone regardless of age but is primarily geared to senior citizens. There may be some limitations depending on the complexity of the return.

There are locations throughout Morris County:  local offices include Boonton Senior Center (Tuesdays), Parsippany Community Center (Tuesdays and Thursdays), Kinnelon Fire House (Thursdays) and Denville Municipal Building (Wednesday). 

Taxpayers need to bring a social security card, picture ID, last year’s tax return, all documents dealing with wages (W-2), income from various sources (1099 INT, 1099 DIV and 1099 Misc), records of all expenses (medical costs, donations. Real Estate tax, higher education costs, etc).

The hours are 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM from February 4 thru April 14. Individuals must call and leave a message stating their name and telephone number, preferred date, email address and a time when they can be contacted to firm up the appointment.  Calls will be returned in a timely manner when we are able. Once an appointment is made please arrive a few minutes early to complete necessary paperwork.  If for some reason you cannot make your appointment you should call the above number to reschedule.  This will allow us time to contact other taxpayers in need of our services.

Rockaway River Watershed Cabinet

This Saturday, February 22nd

The Rockaway River Watershed Cabinet is hosting a Free Environmental Visual Assessment Training on February 22, 2020 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Denville Town Hall, 1 St. Mary's Place, Denville.

 The objective is to conduct assessments in the Rockaway River watershed.
