Morris County is now offering FREE at-home COVID-19 saliva and nasal testing

Morris County is now offering at-home, COVID-19 saliva and nasal testing at no cost to people who want to be tested.

No-Cost In-Person Testing at CCM

Morris County is now offering no-cost, in-person saliva COVID testing at County College of Morris.

Parking at CCM for people with appointments will be reserved in Lot 6, where individuals using public transportation to and from CCM also may board or disembark from a bus. To find directions to CCM and learn more about public transportation options to and from the campus, please go to the CCM website.

Weekly Coronavirus Update

The cumulative number of cases as of the start of community transmission in Morris County of COVID-19 in early March 2020 now stands at 211 cases as of December 10, 2020.

Boonton Township Recreation

Holiday Home Decorating Contest

Prizes Sponsored by the Boonton Township PBA Local 392

Dig out your holiday lights, blowups, reindeer, and decorations because the newest Boonton Township tradition

is about to start a Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Decorate your home and front yard in the most creative or festive way possible.

Participation is opened to all residents in Boonton Township

Winners will be presented with a gift card to a local restaurant sponsored by:

Lets get into the holiday spirit as a community!

To compete in this contest, an entry form showing intent to participate must be completed, signed, and submitted to Boonton Township Recreation, no later than Monday, December 7, 2020.

**PLEASE READ THE RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY**

1. Entry is free, no cost or fees apply. 2. Participation is open to all residents and businesses within Boonton Township. 3. Entry Registrations must be received no later than Monday, December 7, 2020. 4. Contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. 5. Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on the Townships website and social media pages. 6. Judging criteria will include [a] Most Beautiful; [b] [c] Most Traditional; [d] Most Creative; [e) Best Neighborhood Display 7. Depending on the number of entries judging will be done from dusk to 8pm 12/17/20 through 12/18/20. Participants should ensure that all lights, animations and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods on all days. 8. Prizes will be awarded based on one winner for each category. 9. Winners will be announced Saturday, December 19, 2020. Winners will be presented with a gift card from a local restaurant sponsored by the BT BPA Local 392 10. Be creative, be festive, and have fun!

BOOK CLUB MEETINGS

Attention anyone interested in joining the Boonton Township Book Club. We meet the second Tuesday of the month in the Municipal Building at 7pm.

Township Park Rules & Regs

-Refrain from using parks or trails if you are exhibiting virus symptoms.

-Follow CDC’s guidance on personal hygiene prior to and during use of parks or trails.

-Observe CDC’s minimum recommended social distancing of 6 feet from other individuals at all times. If this is not possible, users should find an alternate location or depart that space.

-Understand that public restrooms are not available but have portable restrooms (please bring personal sanitary supplies for yourself).

This notification system allows residents to receive e-mail, text message, and/or other alerts regarding emergency notifications and other important messages regarding our community. With this program, you can choose to receive alerts by whatever method of communication you prefer.

Once redirected, ensure you are on the page for Boonton Township New Jersey and follow the step by step instructions on the web page to create an account and receive emergency alerts for Boonton Township.

"Alert Boonton Township" also automatically signs you up for Smart911 which provides you and your family with a potentially life-saving resource. Smart911 is a free emergency 911 component which helps our emergency dispatchers better assist you during an emergency. This service also allows residents to create a safety profile which can include any information they would like to share with first responders during an emergency.
