BTSD To Hold Bond Referendum Info Sessions

The community can learn more about the March 12 bond referendum to improve Rockaway Valley School at two February events. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from district representatives and other professionals working on the referendum.

School building tours will be held Feb. 13, from 6-7:30 p.m. Please register using this form.

A virtual forum will be held Feb. 28, from 6:30-8 p.m. Hear from the project architect, financial advisers and teachers who will discuss how proposed improvements would benefit students. Join on Feb. 28 using this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86827969272

is seeking interested individuals to join our Recycling Team

as Recycling Depot Attendants

on Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 12 Noon

Individuals must be age 16 or older to apply.

$50/per session

Public Health Nurse Office Hours

Our Public Health Nurse has weekly office hours from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM - please call to confirm the day. If you would like to confer with our nurse, Margie Corbett, RN, BS

The Public Health Nurse serves as a vital resource to our community for health-related referrals such as COVID tests and vaccines or weight loss management.

Blood pressure screenings are done during office hours - no appointment is necessary.

Good idea to call beforehand to verify hours for the week. Stop by during office hours for more information.

Rockaway Valley Garden Club

The Rockaway Valley Garden Club generally meets the 2nd Tuesday of each Month.

Meetings begin at 10: 00 am and are held at the Boonton Township Municipal Building, 155 Powerville Rd.

Rockaway Valley Garden Club (RVGC) February 2024 Program

The monthly RVGC Program will be held on February 14, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the Boonton Township Municipal Building, 155 Powerville Rd, Boonton Township, NJ 07005

The program will be presented by Megan Stypulkoski, a local herbalist, artist, and owner of Sheep Hill Herbals in Boonton. She will teach us about the plants around us.

“Intro to Botany” will introduce the essential skills to properly identify plants.

She will go over basic plant evolutionary history to help us understand how to categorize local flora from a botanist’s perspective before we learn to access these plants.

We will learn leaf and flower morphology, growth habits and some common familiar plant families.
