Dog Licenses
What to Know
- All dogs must be licensed in Boonton Township.
- A dog is licensed after the age of 7 months.
- Proof of rabies vaccination is required at the time of licensing the animal. The rabies vaccine certificate must be good through November 1st of the license year.
- Cats do not require a license in Boonton Township.
Cost
- $12.00 for a neutered/spayed dog
- $15.00 for a non-neutered/non-spayed dog
Late Fee
*Will be applied after January 31 of each year*
- $27.00 for a neutered/spayed dog
- $30.00 for a non-neutered/non-spayed dog
Forms
Free Rabies Clinic
- Annually in November
- The rabies clinic is free and held in Boonton Township every year. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.
