SPECIFIED PUBLIC HEARINGS

For specific items on the Agenda such as the adoption of the Budget and the Adoptions of Ordinances, there is a Public Hearing which provides citizens with an opportunity to express opinions, raise issues, and provide information to elected officials about the specified item scheduled on the agenda.

The Chairman will open the meeting to the public to speak to that specific item on the Agenda.  At that time please step to the podium and begin your statement by giving your name and address.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMMENTS

Meetings run best when everyone respects common courtesy and decorum.

  • Be open and honest.
  • Keep your comments clear and focused.
  • The chair has the right to cut off discussion that is too personal, too loud, or too crude.
  • Respect the views of others
  • Allow others to finish speaking before commenting.

Thank you for your involvement!
